Understanding ABA and the RBT Role
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services by working directly with clients under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs are responsible for carrying out behavior intervention plans, collecting accurate data, and using evidence-based strategies to teach skills and reduce challenging behaviors. Their consistent presence and hands-on support are vital in helping clients make meaningful progress toward their individualized goals.
