Supporting Growth Through Education, Independence and Clinical Excellence

Desert Behavior Consultants was founded with the belief that meaningful support should help people build practical skills, increase independence, and experience greater success in their everyday lives.

As our organization continues to evolve, Desert Behavior Consultants is placing direct Applied Behavior Analysis therapy services on hold while we focus on expanding our educational, skill-building, and professional support programs.

Our current services include life skills training, individualized tutoring, Registered Behavior Technician education, and clinical quality assurance services for behavioral health organizations.

Life Skills Training

Our life skills programs focus on practical abilities that support independence at home, at school, in the workplace, and throughout the community. Training may address areas such as communication, organization, self-management, problem-solving, household routines, community participation, and other individualized goals.

Services are designed to be practical, respectful, and applicable to everyday life.

Individualized Tutoring

Desert Behavior Consultants provides individualized academic support based on each learner’s strengths, needs, and goals. Tutoring services may include reading, writing, foundational academic skills, homework support, study strategies, and structured learning activities.

Our approach combines clear instruction, encouragement, and evidence-based teaching strategies to help learners build both academic skills and confidence.

RBT Education and Professional Development

We support current and aspiring Registered Behavior Technicians through structured education, competency development, continuing education, and practical training resources.

Our RBT education programs are designed to help professionals move beyond memorizing terminology and develop a stronger understanding of how to apply behavioral principles ethically, accurately, and confidently.

Training topics may include:

  • Core ABA principles

  • Data collection and documentation

  • Skill-acquisition procedures

  • Behavior-reduction procedures

  • Prompting and prompt fading

  • Professional boundaries

  • Ethics and client dignity

  • Session preparation and organization

  • Caregiver and team collaboration

  • RBT competency preparation

Clinical Quality Assurance

Desert Behavior Consultants partners with behavioral health organizations to strengthen clinical quality, staff performance, documentation, and service delivery.

Clinical quality assurance services may include:

  • Clinical record and documentation reviews

  • Treatment-plan and program audits

  • Staff training and competency development

  • RBT supervision systems

  • Policy and procedure development

  • Clinical workflow consultation

  • Quality improvement planning

  • Compliance support

  • Training-resource development

  • Organizational consultation

Our goal is to help organizations create systems that are ethical, sustainable, clinically sound, and supportive of both clients and professionals.

Our Approach

Every service offered by Desert Behavior Consultants is guided by the same core values:

Practicality: Skills should be useful in real environments and everyday routines.

Individualization: Support should reflect the learner’s needs, goals, strengths, and preferences.

Dignity: Every person deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and autonomy.

Quality: Education and clinical systems should be accurate, ethical, and consistently implemented.

Growth: Meaningful progress occurs when people are given clear instruction, appropriate support, and opportunities to succeed.
